Counted Canvas Challenge

Don't need help wrapping up your WIPs? Witches not your thing? Just need yet another project? Then this side challenge is for you.

Ada Haydon (EyeCandy) asked for a special challenge. How could I refuse? This one will run from September 1, 2012, to January 31, 2012.

Ada will be the challenge master again. She says:

I am really obsessed with those two pieces Carolyn posted of the Sue Kerndt designs she did and I want to do one too.  So my rules for this counted challenge would be:

1: Design a grid (or use Sue's or anyone else's but do give credit to the original designer.)

2: Pick a theme-- could be anything, a holiday, a hobby, favorite vacation spot, etc.

3: Pick a thread, most likely an overdye or varigated, but doesn't have to be, but it should complement the theme of the design.

4: You must incorporate both fabric and embellishments into the design, matching the theme. Got fabulous doo-dads you've never found a use for?  Here's the chance to show them off! Bonus points for using non-traditional embellishments.

5: Challenge yourself to trying out new stitches, or use your favorite stitches in new ways.  Bonus points if your stitches also complement the design theme.
