Click on the link for the PDF. I ended up changing the stitch, because I was not thrilled at how April looked.

Comment by Maria Maunez on April 11, 2013 at 11:16pm Aloha Miss Sheena,
I hope you finish your hat even though it isn't 2012 anymore. I've the beginning and i hope to do one myself someday. Back to my 12+ other projects. Miss you, Maria
Comment by palma seljan on June 5, 2012 at 9:04am Love what you did Mary but, unlike you, I don't have the courage to rip mine off
Comment by Mary Jarvis on June 4, 2012 at 12:42pm Sheena, OK to use on blog. It's funny how we all have our own idiosyncrasies regarding when to add beads, etc. That is what makes all us stitchers unique. There is no one right way to do things.
Comment by Ada Haydon on June 4, 2012 at 12:18pm Wow, that looks great Mary! Ripping is always my last resort, despite the fact that I know it will be worth it in the end!
Comment by Sheena James on June 4, 2012 at 11:23am It looks great Mary. I know what you mean about ripping, but what you did works fabulously. I like beading as I go along so that I can add or match colors. I am going to rip out April as I don't like how the sequins lie. I am looking at other blackwork pattterns to put into it. I have an e book and the RSN one. Keep posting your pics. Do you mind if I use your pic on blog to show others what you have done?
Comment by Mary Jarvis on June 3, 2012 at 3:23pm Even after playing with orange, I was still not happy with January. Even though I hate to rip, I did. I did January in the May star, and used the May trellis stitch in the January area, which lends itself better to that pattern, IMO. I will leave beading for last and decide at the end which color beads to use where.
Comment by palma seljan on May 20, 2012 at 6:32am Thanks Sheena, have to find a day this week to bring these projects up to date
Comment by Sheena James on May 19, 2012 at 2:48pm At the top you will find the thread list. Lay the stitch with Kreinik 012L, then stitch the Reverse Diagonal Hungarian. Last attach the beads with Splendor S910 :) Ruth may be able to get the Delica's in since she is carrying Miyuki in other beads.
Comment by Sheena James on May 2, 2012 at 10:50pm Oh, these are the 2mm size.
Comment by Sheena James on May 2, 2012 at 10:50pm Bedecked and Beadazzled carries the Zebra sequins, they have several bottles of them. http://www.bedeckedandbeadazzled.com/ Phone:410.296.0405, when in doubt this is where I get my stash of supplies.
