To respond to Sharon's e-mail message asking about mermaid ornament canvases, CBK, Gayla Elliott, and Melissa Shirley all do mermaid ornaments. I know there are other designers who do them too, but without digging the canvases out of my stash, I can't recall who exactly. :) This month, PFOS is posting canvases on the blog by request. I've already requested to see the mermaid canvases, so if you check out their blog, at some point you'll see their selection. Have fun. And join us over in the Lemmings because a bunch of us are mermaid lovers.

I am also lookinf for a Deborah Wilson/Beau Geste kit entitled, "Spread Eagle Witch". I bought the Spread Eagle Snowman, but not the witch, and now I'm kicking myself. I haven't found it on eBay, Canvases Be Gone, or through Google searches. Let me know if it turns up available anywhere!

I think you're right, Jane. It certainly hasn't shown up on Canvases Be Gone or any place similar to that (like when Susan Portra also handled gently loved canvases). Thanks!

Judy, sadly I think you are going to have to keep an eye on eBay.  I think the piece you mean was a line drawing she did.  I don't believe it was a canvas available from other places.  I could be wrong, however.  It has been years since I saw it on her program back when the PBS station carried it here.

I am lookin for a kit by Shay Pendray (back when she was still involved in needlepoint) that shows umbrellas on a beach. It was a teachin piece that I mulled over and, regretfully, did not buy it. Now that Shay doesn't have her needlepoint website, I don't know how to find it. Thank you!

Hi Penny, Thanks for the information.  I have all of the Southern Roots by Green Apple.  I will get more info on the J. Lollis and Designs O'Bryan and let you know.

Thank again.

Deborah...

As I recall Designs O'Bryan did just a few charts and they were single pages. I don't know that there was ever a book. I have most (maybe all) of them and stitched them years ago. Similar charts are the Southern Roots group published by Green Apple who publishes lots of beautiful Counted Cross Stitch charts. Here are two links...

Hoffman Distributing

Hoffman is a distributor. You would have to get your local shop to order the books for you. Look at the Southern Roots books/charts.

Stitcher's Closet

I think you can buy directly from Stitcher's Closet. They don't have as many of the charts as Hoffman.

I remember the name J Lollis and probably have some of those charts...but I don't know what I am looking for. Perhaps with more information, I could help with these, too.

If you contact me and let me know which O'Bryan charts you already have, I will check and see if I have others.

Deborah, I am new to this site and relatively new to needlepoint, but just discovered Mindy Needlepoint Factory's African-inspired designs at http://www.mindysneedlepoint.com/Mindys_Needlework_Factory/africa.html
I am in love with the African Flora canvas, which I saw in my local shop.
