I just joined!  Didn't know this group or the Stitcherie group existed until yesterday.  :)

Counted Canvas is my first love in needlepoint and I always enjoy the challenge.  I just finished Laura Perin's Stained Glass Windows.  It finished out beautifully and the mating and the framing enhanced even more.  I also like the piece above.  Any information on it?  Thanks!  rebecca

Need a last-minute gift? http://www.caron-net.com/11jnovdesclass1.html This looks quick to stitch. Maybe I'll do it as Christmas cards next year.

Oh, I don't know. Versions can be very satisfying.

If I like it enough, I might stitch a smaller version of it to make a matching pillow. I was thinking of doing one pillow in the cream center to yellow to red, and a second pillow in a red center to yellow to cream. Of course, that presumes there is time and interest to do that once the main piece is stitched. Considering all the other canvases, clubs, ornaments, and lemming activities, I'll probably end up kicking that idea to the curb. But it was nice while it lasted. ;-)

Good choice! That's the version of it I would have chosen. But then, I'm a red gal.

After going through the color schemes, and inviting DH to consult, I chose Solar Flare for the first piece I'm going to stitch. I'll let you know when I get it! Thanks!

That's another project on my list of things to do--this year's ANG SOTM that Ro designed. Now that my printer is working again, I suppose I could finally get the patterns printed out.

It doesn't make picking one any easier.  ANG Cyberpointers offered it as a class last year.  I couldn't decide which one I wanted so bought both for the "collection."

That's cool. You can just keep stitching it in different colors depending on your mood.
