Drosselmeyer's beard would be good with Wisper. I think his coat/cloak should look like fabric (does that make sense?) - maybe a fine wool, but the rest should look painted, perhaps just use floss, for a bit of gloss. If you could find one the right size, a watch charm hanging from a scrap of fine chain (or gold braid) would be awesome.

Clara's dress is so pretty - you just know it's her best party dress. I think I'd do the tiny flowers on her sleeves in French knots, in a rayon or shiny silk, with lazy daisies for the leaves. I'd use real satin ribbon for the bows on her overskirt, making them as dimensional as possible, maybe even with tiny pre made ribbon roses attached. Silk for the dress itself, though I'm stumped on the puffy sleeves. I think they need to be made of something transparent - maybe appliqued tulle or something, if you can figure out how. Cotton for her bloomers, with shiny silk or rayon for the ribbon.

Looking for suggestions for Clara and the nutcracker.  Clara's petticoat and hair are done but that is it.  I would love stitch and thread suggestions!
