In the last century (how fun is it to be able to say that?), there was a quilt shop in Delray Beach owned by a woman who made amazing silk dolls. I'm sure Marilyn is still making amazing silk dolls, but now she's retired.

I realized after reading your post you think I did the stitches. I must correct this as it came with a stitch guide also created by Charlotte McDonnell.

Compared to you all I don't have as much experience as you do. I never felt "ready". The guide was intimidating for my skill level. I'm glad I waited. I finally learned how to get out of the box in creating when stitching eyes, mouth and hair.

I like the idea of the spring and doll head. Maybe a bobble head?

Debbie, this is awesome and I love the idea of a stretchy string just because I can see people having a big laugh but I also agree with Karen, it would make an amazing doll

Know anybody who makes dolls? This would be a wonderful head for a doll.

 

She's terrific. I especially love that neon blue eye shadow!
