Petei Angel finished

I gave this little Petei angel Bo Derek hair. Any one remember her in the movie 10? LOL

Karen, if you "donbead" (basketweave beading a la Don Lynch) the shell, you can stitch all that detail. For 18 ct canvas, you need 11/0 delicas (or Magnificas). If you're doing traditional beading, you are right, you need 15/0 seed beads.

Or, you could use the 15/0 seed beads and brick stitch bead it. That will leave empty holes that the beads don't cover. Fill in the holes with French knots in Kreinik. It will give you alternating beads and French knots.

Jane, the turtle in on 18 mesh. So I really think he needs to be done with 15/0 beads. Anything else, I think, will be too big.

Judy and Kelly, thanks for the nice compliments on the Petei angel.  K.B., maybe you are supposed to use those square Swarovski crystals and sequins on the turtle shell?  Instead of beads?

I still have to manage to get to the bead shop to get the beads. Big road bump.

In time, definition

To Donbead = to bead following Don Lynch's way of basketweave beading

For a couple months now, I've been hoping to get over to pick beads for the shell on this A. Bradley minisock. So far, the planets have been aligned against me. Do you suppose that means that I shouldn't bead his shell?

Heck, I know you didn't make that shop name up!  I just was thinking what a fun group the shop owners must be.  I think I have seen their website, which makes it clear there is a physical shop and then an online business.  Have fun shopping.  I hope you need more than my mythical thin clear beading thread!
