I learned this technique from a friend, I've never seen it diagrammed anywhere.  Basically, it's regular basketweave, but on every other row, you lay your stitch over a toothpick, thus making a "loop".

It's Loopy Basketweave, Judy-- uses a ton of thread but the results are worth it! :)
