Judy, Ragdolls are known for being especially affectionate. But they require a lot of grooming. Ragdolls are one of the larger cat breeds. From experience, I can tell you that Maine Coons are wonderful, and again, big cats. Loki is actually a runt as Maine Coons go.

Oh yes, a friend of mine just bought a kitten and he is adorable! Another friend owned 2 for years and the last one just passed away at 17. They are lovely.

Thanks, Cindi. You aren't the first to recommend a cat.  Have you ever heard of Ragdoll cats?  Intriguing. Have always been a dog person.

My kitty doesn't touch my needlepoint either fortunately. Judy I love having a cat. Bajia is so sweet and very easy to care for. She is very much doglike in the sense that she follows me around the house, comes to greet me when the door opens and she talks( in her own kitty speak!). I would definitely recommend owning one for sure!

Hello, lovely kitty.

Judy, I'm sorry for your loss. Being had by a cat (or catS) is great fun. I've always had Siamese, and find them especially entertaining. They're very smart - we've had many that did tricks. And, of course, they're well-known for their conversational qualities. None of my kitties has ever bothered my stitching or knitting/crocheting; an unattended pork chop is fair game, though.

I am thinking of getting a cat but never had one.  How do you like it, Cindi?  I feel lost without a pet.

Oh Judy I'm sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to our wonderful pets. Karen, my kitty LOVES to her how adorable she is almost to a fault! What kind of Bengal did you have? Bajia is my first cat.

I love the coral nose! Our B Kitty had one and I used to annoy her regularly by telling her how adorable it was. (She was a very cranky gal.)
