Thistle • Zecca • ZE 178 • Robin King

The Thistle is finished. It was fun to stitch. Design area measures 3.5" x 5.5" on 18 mesh. I am teaching it at TNNA on February 3, 2013. The canvas will come with my stitch guide. Available from Zecca (ZE 178). You can read all about it on the Needlepoint Study Hall blog: http://needlepointstudyhall.blogspot.com/

Beautiful!  I loved the thinking behind the background.  Too clever.

I would, too.  Looking again, don't the leaves almost look more appliqued than stitched - marvelous work, so smooth.

Amazing work. I love the thistle itself (its purple) and would love to know how it was made

Very cool, Robin!  I love the background stitch and the sequins on the thistle's base.

It is, and my older son will beg for it if he sees this.
